Heading into PARC’s 8th year in operation, a leadership renewal has taken place within the PARC Swim business unit. About youThe objective of this position is to lead, develop and grow the PARC Swim program, aiming to achieve our mission that ‘every child in Frankston can swim’. With a core focus on and a commitment to the highest standard of service delivery, water safety education and the establishment of a positive and constructive team culture. To thrive in this role, you will need:Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, with several years’ direct experience or extensive experience within a Recreation / Leisure facility or similar venue that provides a service to the community.Current Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety LicenceDemonstrated experience in leading and managing a team with the ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence and sound judgement.Proven experience in building high performing teams that support the implementation of priorities, delivering business and community outcomes.Ability to manage change in a resource constrained environment.Extensive knowledge of appropriate business systems and standards for facility operations and aquatics.Proven experience in running a Swim School in the past.Strong customer-first mindsetResponsibilities of this role include:Oversee the recruitment, management, development and performance of PARC Swim team.Actively coach and mentor the PARC Swim area leaders, to manage the ongoing performance and development of service delivery staff and their associated areas of responsibility.Plan, communicate and deliver meaningful team meetings and training workshops (registering these sessions with AUSTSWIM where appropriate) to ensure all staff are adequately trained and have the appropriate information and resources to succeed.Review and develop the Peninsula Leisure Learn to Swim program, and additional specialty programs, ensuring that the range of programs and services encourage and support the skill of swimming and water safety for the Community and are inclusive and responsive to the changing demographics of Frankston.Develop and implement the PARC Swim Business Plan goals and targets, as well as contribute to Peninsula Leisure strategic plans, projects, budget and service delivery plans.Actively lead and coordinate all operational aspects of the business unit.Manage the day to day operating expectations in PARC Swim and the delivery of our Service Improvement Program (SIP). Accountable for the preparation and writing of the PARC Swim annual budget and once approved, meet and manage budget targets.If you have the required experience and want to be part of a fun, hardworking, community focused company, apply now by submitting your resume and a cover letter.Please contact Shannon Gray for position queries: shannon.gray@peninsulaleisure.com.auEmployment is subject to a satisfactory National Police check and a current employee Working with Children check.
